With a career spanning 40 years leadership, advocacy, and community engagement, Subomi brings a wealth of experience to her role, and has held prominent leadership positions, including President Emeritus of the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus and board memberships with organizations such as the Westchester County Women’s Advisory Board and is Board of Trustees Chair for Queens College of the Americas, as well as is one of the two founding members of this Association. Subomi has been honored multiple times as one of the Top 100 People in Westchester County by City & State magazine, reflecting her impact and influence in the region. Known as the “Chief Empowerment Officer” for her ability to inspire others to think big while staying grounded.
